Fueling Their Future - A Virtual Fundraiser for Food For Children logo
Fueling Their Future is a virtual fundraising campaign to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County's award winning Food For Children program.  

Thanks to a generous donor all donations to this campaign will be MATCHED! 

Food For Children is a fast-paced food distribution that provides fresh fruits and vegetables and non-perishable foods, as well as basic nutrition tips and food tastings to support healthy families.

Winner of the Congressional Victory Against Hunger Award, Food For Children provides fresh produce and essential food staples to children and families at dozens of sites throughout Santa Cruz County. Fresh and healthy foods can be rare—and unaffordable—in many low-income communities, but Food For Children brings the produce aisle to the neighborhood. Staff offer nutrition tips and menu ideas to help parents prepare the food in healthy ways, so back at home, the whole family eats well, and the kids are taking in not only the vitamins and nutrients they need to learn in school, but also the healthy habits they need for a successful future.

Together We are the Food Bank. Donors like you, volunteers, community partners, the AG community, businesses, the faith community, students, and families working alongside each other providing access to needed food for people in Santa Cruz County. 

We are the Food Bank – Reaching 65,000 people monthly ensuring they have access to healthy nutritious food. Our unity, working with 80 agencies, engages the community, teaches nutrition classes, distributes food and helps people access the CalFresh food assistance. Through all seasons, through the pandemic, fires, earthquakes, storms and floods, We are the Food Bank of our community.
