We are working around the clock to understand how we can best serve our clients during the pandemic, and we are seeing a dramatic increase in need for our services.
On Sunday, December 3, the community is invited to celebrate the holiday season at the City Plaza. The festivities begin at 2 p.m. with the Watsonville Multicultural Celebration. This long-standing community event celebrates the diverse cultures in Watsonville. The event will feature activity booths for children hosted by local cultural groups, food booths featuring delicious food from different cultures and live entertainment on two stages that represents the diversity in Watsonville.
A new addition to the festivities this year will be a holiday train that will offer children rides around the City Plaza. June Ponce, a community member who has helped arrange for the train to be a part of the event says, “We have partnered with local businesses and organizations to include this magical holiday train to the event so children remember the spirit of the holidays in our wonderful downtown.” Rides on the train are free, but donations to Second Harvest Food Bank will be accepted at the train station and are encouraged. The community is invited to come out to the City Plaza to celebrate the holiday season and rediscover downtown Watsonville.
