Planned Giving

Feeding the Future

Planned giving is one of the most effective and sustainable ways you can support the vital work Second Harvest does. It enables you to plan now to feed hope for years to come. You can make a planned gift to Second Harvest in many ways to satisfy both your financial and philanthropic goals, including:

Beneficiary Designations
Charitable Gift Annuities
Charitable Remainder Trusts
Gifts Of Residences

Quick Tip: Beneficiary Designations

A beneficiary designation is the easiest way to make a legacy gift. Simply name Second Harvest as a full or partial beneficiary on your beneficiary designation forms. You can do this for: retirement plans (traditional IRA, 401(k), etc.), savings accounts, and life insurance policies.

Just include our tax identification number 77-0326685 in place of a social security number and put “non-profit organization” in the space for relationship. Often, this option can offer substantial tax benefits for you and your family. As in all cases, please consult with your legal, tax or financial adviser for a professional opinion first.
