Hunger Action Month - September

Participation

During June and July Second Harvest will come to your place of business and photograph your team with hunger awareness props. We ask you to wear orange (the official color of hunger) for the photo shoot. Photos are posted on social media in September with a video showing your team supporting the fight against hunger.

Chefs' Dinner - October

This special occasion features six amazing local chefs donating their time and coming together for a common cause to ensure every child in Santa Cruz County has access to nutritious meals.

Premier Sponsorship – $5,000
Table for 8 in premier location at event, organization name and logo on event invitation, full page ad in event program, logo included in advertising (digital and print), social media. Special recognition as host of cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres.

Major Sponsorships – $2,500
Includes 2 tickets to the event, half page ad in evening program, logo on advertising (digital and print), event program, and social media.

Supporting Sponsorship – $1,000
Logo on event signboard and event program.

What is Food For Children?

Second Harvest’s Food for Children initiative provides fresh produce and essential food staples to children and families at dozens of sites throughout Santa Cruz County. Fresh and healthy foods can be rare – and un-affordable – in many low-income communities, but our Food for Children initiative brings the produce aisle to the neighborhood. Staff offer nutrition tips and menu ideas to help parents prepare the food in healthy ways, so back at home, the whole family eats well, and the kids are taking in not only the vitamins and nutrients they need to learn in school, but also the healthy habits they need for a successful future. For the past 20 years, the annual Santa Cruz Chefs’ Dinner has served as the signature fundraiser for our community’s children.

Holiday Food & Fund Drive - November through January

Food Champion Sponsorship – $10,000
Includes logo on all Holiday Food & Fund Drive collateral including food collection barrels, posters, recognition campaign ads, logo and photos on social media, event programs, sign boards, and spring newsletter. Also includes 4 tickets (per event) to the Holiday Food & Fund Drive Kick-Off rally and the Annual Awards Dinner.

Food Ambassador Sponsorship – $5,000
Includes logo on Holiday Food & Fund Drive collateral including food collection barrels, posters, recognition campaign ads, logo and photos on social media, event programs, sign boards, and spring newsletter. This sponsorship also includes 2 tickets (per event) to the Holiday Food & Fund Drive Kick-Off rally and the Annual Awards Dinner. 

Food Advocate Sponsorship – $2,500
Includes logo on Holiday Food & Fund Drive collateral including food collection barrels, posters, flyers, mention on 1 social media post between October and March. This sponsorship level includes 2 tickets (per event) to the Holiday Food & Fund Drive Kick-Off rally and the Annual Awards Dinner. Company name will be included in event programs and sign boards, and spring newsletter.
