Annual Awards Dinner

Second Harvest’s Annual Food Drive Awards Dinner is held in March. This special event is filled with celebration, food and music, recognizes the efforts of participating food drive organizations, schools and companies. All honorary participants are presented with special awards, plaques, and certificates.

This event also includes the presentation of our Hunger Fighters of the Year and an introduction of the following year’s Holiday Food Drive Co-Chairs. Here is a video of our 2011 event:

2011 Hunger Fighters of the Year

The 2011 Hunger Fighters Awards are Midge Morrison and Jolly Bilstad. Midge and Jolly have been serving downtown Watsonville’s homeless for over 20 years.
