Second Harvest is pleased to announce four new members to our Board of Trustees. We feel very fortunate to have them on the Second Harvest team and look forward to their valuable contributions. Their varied backgrounds in all aspects of business, combined with a passion for Second Harvest’s mission will be invaluable moving forward.
Dave DeBoer is the retired Chairman of Greenbrier Intermodal and also currently serves as Board Treasurer of Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes. His background in distribution, transportation, logistics, finance and general management will be leveraged to continue improving the efficiency of Second Harvest operations.
Ralph Maltese of BPR Consulting LLC has 20 years of experience in project management and process re-engineering in the food industry. He led the effort to develop the five year IT roadmap for Second Harvest and has a passionate belief in our mission and in-depth knowledge of our organization.
Bob Norton served on the board of Aptos Chamber for ten years and Above the Line for eight years. He has extensive management and organizational experience in nearly every aspect of the grocery industry and a strong desire to give back to the community.
Joop Rubens has been working to eradicate hunger through his involvement serving on the boards of KIP Solutions, the Global Information Internship Program and Grind Out Hunger. A social media and networking expert, he has the communication skills to build advocacy for Second Harvest’s mission.
