Volunteers Reach Out to Safeway Customers

Volunteers from around Santa Cruz County were on hand at local Safeway stores on Saturday July 16th in support of the Every Bag Counts food drive. They collected more than 3200 pounds of non-perishable food.

Ryanne Maldonado and Megan Riggs

The food drive continues until July 24thso there is still plenty of time to make a donation. Pre-packed bags are available to purchase for $10.00.

Thanks to Safeway stores for recognizing that hunger is a year-round problem.

Donna Mosich

Special thanks to all of the volunteers and the community for their generous donations.

Working together we can make a difference!
