Volunteers Needed

For the month of August:
1.       Agency Distribution: We are in need of 1-2 volunteers who would be able to commit to 2-3 months volunteering in our Agency Distribution area. Volunteers must have great customer service and computer skills. They will assist our agency shoppers by checking/scanning their products.  The shifts needed are either Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 8am-11am. Training for this position will start on August 12-14th and is on the spot training.
2.       Facility Maintenance: We are in need of volunteers to help us with recycling, cleaning our facility, washing our bins and trucks when needed and throwing away or recycling food product. Shifts are any day during our Monday-Friday shifts from 8am-1pm.
3.       Packing mixed produce bags: Volunteers are needed to help pack mixed produce bags for many of our Food For Children and USDA sites. This work requires lots of standing, as well as some bending and lifting. Shifts are any day Monday-Friday from 8am-1pm; dates available are August 5-8, 11-14, 18-21 & 25-28th.
4.       Saturday sorts – Volunteers are needed to help pack USDA commodity bags. Dates available are August 9 & 23rd from 8am-12pm
Volunteers must be 14 or older to participate during our Monday-Friday shifts and at least 8 for our Saturday sorts. Closed toe shoes are required when volunteering at the food bank.
