The events and promotions listed below provide opportunities to celebrate the holiday season and contribute to Second Harvest’s 2013 Holiday Food Drive. All donations are used to feed people throughout Santa Cruz County during the winter months—when less work and high heating bills increase hardship.
—95 cents of every $1 donated is used to purchase and distribute food through our network of 200 agencies and programs, including:

—— 100 direct food distribution locations for families countywide

10% of profits donated to Second Harvest
Visit Guest Services (near the front entrance) make a donation and choose an ornament to be hung on the tree in the fountain area.
Cruzio Donation Match
Through December 31st, 877 Cedar St., Suite 150, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
Customer donations to Second Harvest matched for up to $1,000. Mail checks made out to Second Harvest Food Bank to Cruzio and Cruzio will bundle your check with their match.
Kumon Math & Reading Center of Aptos

Every registration provides 50 meals.
Safeway Food Drive
Through December 25th, all stores in Santa Cruz County
Donate non-perishable food items or purchase a $10.00 pre-packed bag.
Through January 3rd, all stores in Santa Cruz County
Donate at checkout.
Second Street Café
Through December 31st, 28 Second St., Watsonville
Receive a free mini cupcake with a one can donation (six can limit).
Strike Out Hunger
Through December 31st, Boardwalk Bowl, 115 Cliff Street, Santa Cruz
Donate a can of food for a free game (one free game per person, per day) through December 31st.
Seascape Wine & Spirits
Through December 15th, 20 Seascape Village
Bring in 2 cans or 2 non-perishable food items to be entered in raffle with fabulous prizes from local businesses.
Don’t forget, you can drop off donations at fire stations, libraries and post offices throughout Santa Cruz County.
