Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County commemorated its 40th anniversary on Friday, July 20th with a barbecue at our warehouse in Watsonville. We were thrilled that so many supporters were able to attend. Everyone had a great time as friends, both old and new, enjoyed each other’s company. Thanks to everyone who attended and to our entire community for your ongoing support.
Our mission to end hunger and malnutrition by educating and involving the community continues to inform everything we do. We are dedicated to empowering clients, volunteers and partners to work together to make their communities stronger and healthier. We are working to break the cycle of hunger and poverty by helping families transition to healthy independence and security: providing all children the opportunity to grow up healthy and successful and ensuring that all people have access to healthy food.
