Annual Dinner Honors Food Drive Stars

Second Harvest held its annual awards dinner to honor 2013 Holiday Food Drive participants at Hotel Paradox in Santa Cruz on March 12th.  It was great see everyone and share some special stories about how our community “made good things happen” this past holiday season.

The evening began with welcoming remarks from Second Harvest CEO, Willy Elliott-McCrea, followed by the presentation of the 2014 Hunger Fighters, Autumn and Simone Bushard and AR and Fred Pointer. Their dedication to helping others was recognized through proclamations presented by a number of elected officials. We know these Hunger Fighters don’t do what they do for the recognition, but their work is inspiring and so we hope they enjoyed this brief spotlight.
