Aaron’s Stores Give Back

David Sewart has owned two Aaron’s stores, one in Watsonville and one in Salinas, since 2004. Once the stores became profitable, he wanted to start giving back to the community. Aaron’s has been contributing 10% of their profits to Second Harvest for four years; to date, they’ve provided 65,660 meals!

We were happy to meet David when he stopped by to deliver the latest check, declaring Second Harvest a great operation. He told us his wife used to make sandwiches for the needy in Salinas. She passed away earlier this year and now his ability to help feed hungry people in our community has taken on a new level of meaning.

Here’a a picture of the team in the the Watsonville Aaron’s store. Manager Cynthia Cantalon told us how much they enjoyed volunteering at the food bank when they helped at a food sort in our warehouse in Watsonville.

The program continues through Christmas. Thanks to everyone at Aaron’s for the contributions you are making to help the less fortunate in our community.
