The Second Harvest Board consists of fifteen Trustees representing a broad cross-section of the community who are responsible for shaping the mission and strategic direction, ensuring leadership and resources and as well as monitoring and improving performance.
|Pat Wadors, Chair
As VP, global Talent Organization, at LinkedIn, Pat Wadors often interfaces with corporate public boards and is leveraging her skills to involve the Second Harvest board and other businesses in our area. Prior to joining LinkedIn, Pat was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Plantronics, and before joining Plantronics, Pat held management positions at Yahoo! Inc. and several other technology companies. Pat is the current Chair of the Second Harvest Board Of Trustees and also chairs the Executive Committee.

Bob Norton served on the Aptos Chamber Board for ten years and Above the Line for eight years. he has extensive management and organizational experience in nearly every aspect of the grocery industry and a strong desire to give back to the community. Bob currently chairs the Fund Development and Corporate Relations Committees and also serves on the Executive Committee.

Dave DeBoer is the retired Chairman of Greenbrier Intermodal. He has served as the Board Treasurer of the Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes. His background in distribution, transportation, logistics, finance, and general management is being leveraged to continue improving the efficiency of Second Harvest operations. Dave is currently the Chair for the Second Harvest Finance Committee and also serves on the Executive Committee.

Tim Carl is owner of The Carl Group, Inc. a company that provides technical communications to professionals in the Silicon Valley. In addition to serving on the Board, Tim is chair of the Second Harvest Audit Committee and also serves on the Development Committee as well as the Executive Committee.
The Landscape Company
Phil Dundas is the owner of The Landscape Company in Capitola. In his experience as a corporate attorney, he has advised the Board of Trustees of numerous private and public companies. Phil joined the Board of Trustees in 2008, is a past chair of the Second Harvest Board Development Committee and currently serves on the Executive Committee.
Lisa Kirk is Vice President of Human Resources at Seagate Technology and is committed to working with non-profit organizations such as Second Harvest that promote healthy life choices. She serves on the Second Harvest Fund Development and Corporate Relations Committees and has over 30 years experience in Human Resources.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara & San Mateo Counties
Ralph Maltese is currently VP of operations for Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Prior to this position, and as the owner of BPR Consulting, LLC, Ralph used his 20 years of experience in project management and process re-engineering in the food industry. He led the effort to develop the five-year IT Roadmap for Second Harvest and has a passionate belief in our mission and in-depth knowledge of our organization. Ralph is currently the Vice Chair of the Second Harvest Finance Committee.
|Laurie Mireles Ramirez
Salud Para La Gente
Laurie Mireles currently works with Salud Para La Gente. She also serves on various health-related committees throughout Santa Cruz County. In 2009, she received her PhD in Plicy, Organization Measurement and Evaluation from Berkeley School of Education. Laurie currently serves on the Board Development Committee as well as the chair of the Ambassador Committee.
Donna is an independent consultant of Learning and Training-DM Technical Services. She has served on several non-profit organizations as committee volunteer and leader. She recently served three terms as the president of Friends of Main Street, the non-profit organization for Main Street Elementary School. Donna continues her involvement by being on the Second Harvest Fund Development and Corporate Relations Committees and taking a leading role on the Santa Cruz Chef’s Dinner Committee and Silicon Valley Leadership Group Turkey Trot Committee.
Dieter has served for several years on the investment committee and the planned giving committee for the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. He is also on the board of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Santa Cruz County, Dieter joined the Second Harvest Board in 2010 and currently serves on the Second Harvest Major gifts and Development Committee.
Joop is currently the Director of Development for the Fistula Foundation and has been working to eradicate hunger through his involvement serving on the Boards of KIP Solutions, and the Global Information Internship Program. A social media and networking expert, he has the communication skills to build advocacy for Second Harvest. Joop currently chairs the Second Harvest Major Gifts Committee as well as serving on the Fund Development Committee.
Santa Cruz County Bank
Jon Sisk is SVP, Director of Real Estate and Construction Lending for Santa Cruz County Bank. He has worked closely with Second Harvest over the past five years through Sunrise Rotary and in his prior position at Lighthouse Bank. Jon Currently serves as the Chair of the Dominican Hospital Foundation and has also served on the St. Francis High School finance committee. Jon is a valuable member of the Second Harvest Board Development Committee.
Bay Federal Credit Union
Rick is the VP and CFO of Bay Federal Credit Union. He brings over 23 years of financial management experience to his work with Second Harvest. He joined the board in 2014 and is currently serving as an active member of the Finance Committee.
